Other than Sundays' exercise in batting impotence the Jays have averaged 6 runs scored per game during the past eight games! Miraculous. Where has this timely hitting been all season? They've even managed the odd late-inning long ball (Zaun). And, as it has been all season long, the pitching has been terrific. Less than 3 runs allowed per game over THE STREAK. And the defense (2 picks on Sunday)! What more can be said? I'm going out on a limb now. Watch the Jays chase the Rays & the Twins (not the BoSox) for the wild card spot! Could be an exciting finale to an otherwise lacklustre season.

Blue Jays hitters continue to make opposing pitchers look like Cy Young candidates. Who will stop the bleeding?
