With the MLB playoffs set to begin, there is a subtle difference in the air compared to start of any other postseason. In the NHL, fans can potentially look forward to a great Canadians/Bruins series that is not only exciting, but has a historical kick to it. Likewise basketball fans always have the chance to see if the Suns can finally get past the Spurs and football fans love seeing the rivalry of the Eagles Vs the City of Philadelphia when the Eagles so much as get tackled for a loss.

Tuesday night’s game was more of a New Orleans Hornets win and not a Spurs loss.  The Hornets outplayed the Spurs on every aspect, they never let the Spurs get a decent shot and they never let the Spurs defend properly.  Again they outplayed the Spurs.Every time it seemed the Spurs’ Manu Ginobili or Tony Parker could end the bleeding with a three pointer or driving the lane, the Hornets came right back with an alleyoop or a West three-pointer.  A lot of analysts say the Hornets are inexperienced and young and can’t win the championship, well...Tuesday’s game really changed things around or did it?The Hornets have not won in San Antonio and like most NBA teams in the playoffs; it seems to be very hard for a team to win on the road this year (except for the Pistons).  As long as they continue to play this well especially with the defense and the mismatches on offense, they could beat the Spurs.
