     Other than Sundays' exercise in batting impotence the Jays have averaged 6 runs scored per game during the past eight games!  Miraculous.  Where has this timely hitting been all season?  They've even managed the odd late-inning long ball (Zaun).  And, as it has been all season long, the pitching has been terrific.  Less than 3 runs allowed per game over THE STREAK.  And the defense (2 picks on Sunday)!  What more can be said?  I'm going out on a limb now.  Watch the

Whether Red Sox or Yankees fans like it or not, the Tampa Bay Rays will get better every season. Why not? Their team are full of young and talented ballplayers. Their pitchers have not even reached their prime, starting pitchers anyway, their offence is full of young hitting machines and defense is very good.
